This 4 and half hour sunset jeep tour of Eilat explores the changing faces of the desert as it passes from day to dusk and to night. An exciting 4x4 drive during the most picturesque hours of the desert.
The tour includes an unforgettable walk into the canyon of the Lost Valley and a visit to pools popular with migrating flamingos. As the sunset fades to night the desert comes to life and using projectors we search for the nocturnal animals inc wolves and hyenas. The night skies are legendary and the tour includes an astronomic telescope for stargazing.

This 4 hour sunset jeep tour explores the changing desert landscape as the sun sets in a blaze of color. An exciting off-road adventure takes us over the most scenic 4x4 route in the Eilat Mountain Nature Reserve. The tour (in open jeeps) follows in part, ancient pilgrim and merchant routes. It ascends the highest summit in the area, where the breathtaking views take in 4 neighboring countries. The tour visits the only water source for wildlife in the vicinity and as the sun sets we can often find Ibexes herds coming to drink. We stop en route to enjoy desert style hospitality. Sitting around a campfire, on which Bedouin pita bread is made, we drink sweet tea and hear traditional desert tales both true and legendary. Experience the magic of an Arabian night under the star spangled desert skies. Explore the awesome mountains of Eilat by 4X4 by night. It is well known that the desert comes to life at night and on this special 4 hour tour we search with projectors for local wildlife such as wolves, hyenas, foxes and gazelles - all can be found in the desert surrounding Eilat.
The desert is particularly renowned for its exceptionally starry skies, your guide will point out the various constellations found amongst the millions of stars visible. Using a telescope, we will be able to see the craters of the moon.
We stop en route to enjoy sweet Bedouin tea and Pitta bred prepared on a small campfire, some Bedouins' legends and plenty of magical atmosphere. We take a short walk to a small hidden canyon with the light of the stars only and driving along the valley of the statues in completely open jeeps.

Exploring the Eilat Mountains Nature Reserve. From the Jordanian Border to the Egyptian Border. We begin this eight-hour tour in the expanses of the Arava Valley. From there we journey up to the heights of the Negev Plateau. We visit en route the scenic Eteq Valley and the narrow Eteq canyon whose year-round rock pools are popular with local wildlife. Stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch and sweet desert tea. We ascend the very highest summits in the area and take time to admire the breathtaking sunset and fantastic views that span into 3 neighboring countries and over the bay of Eilat. Full Day Desert Tour – Camels and Jeeps Combined
Setting off from Eilat at 08:30 in Jeeps, we journey off road into the sandy Arava Valley passing salt pools that are home to a flock of Flamingos. From here we head west and begin our ascent to the Negev Plateau on a dramatic 4X4 route. Driving on the way through the beautiful Wadi Eteq where we stop to explore by foot the Eteq Canyon. A favorite spot for many of the local wildlife and home to many varieties of desert plants. From here we continue our journey to the top of the Negev Plateau where we take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch before getting back into the jeeps and continuing on to Shacharut. This small village is situated on the cliffs where the Negev Plateau plummets into the Arava Valley. Here we enjoy tea and coffee before mounting our camels for a walk/ride along one of the most scenic camel routes in the Negev Desert. We walk and ride at a leisurely pace for about two and a half hours, taking in the breathtaking panoramic views and witnessing the most magical hour of desert life as the sunset sends a blaze of color across the desert sky. Returning at dusk by way of a stunning and dramatic 4X4 route that winds down between the cliffs from the plateau into the Arava Valley below. Here we join the main road and return by evening to Eilat.

Eilat 2 Days Camels /Jeeps Combined
This unique overnight tour through the Eilat Mountains encompasses an exciting 4X4 Jeep tour, an unforgettable camel trek and accommodation at the magical Khan of Shaharut.
Day One- Setting off from Eilat in Jeeps we journey off road into the Arava Valley. From here we begin our ascent to the Negev Plateau on a dramatic 4X4 route that passes Wadi Eteq. Here we stop for a picnic lunch and a walk through the Eteq Canyon, which, due to its permanent rock pools, is a favorite spot for the local wildlife. Further on we reach Mt. Berech and enjoy its views over the Timna Valley. From here we continue our journey to the top of the Plateau and onto Shacharut. We rest in the scenic khan (traditional Arab guest house for desert travelers, similar to a Bedouin Camp) here we have our evening meal. During the evening we enjoy traditional desert music and hear stories of desert legends and beliefs. Provided with mattresses and sleeping bags we camp in the khan for the night.
Day Two- Upon awakening we gather near the cliffs to admire the fantastic views which span over the Arava Valley to the Edom Mountains of Jordan. Following breakfast we mount our camels for a walk/ride along one of the most scenic camel routes in the Negev Desert. We walk and ride at a leisurely pace for 4 hours, taking in the views and tranquil atmosphere. Returning around12:00 to Shacharut, we get back into the 4X4 and head for the Kasui valley and its sand dunes, then it's onto the crystal rocks of the beautiful Gypsum Valley that leads us towards the Red Canyon, here we go on foot through the canyons natural obstacle course and (with a little help from man-made fixtures) go over the canyon's walls. Here we spend an hour or so in the canyon and in its surrounding valley. Heading back to the Jeep and onto Mt. Yoash where we take in the vast views that include 3 other neighbouring countries and the bay of Eilat~! From here it's onto the road and back to Eilat. (The whole of the 2nd day may be spent on the camel route for those who prefer 4 legs over 4 wheels)

Eilat Hiking Tours- 1 Day or more
The Eilat Mountains in the Southern Negev are home to some of the most spectacular views in the whole of the Negev Desert. Our hiking and trekking expeditions lead you through canyons, over mountain paths and into rarely visited places, most of which are accessible only by foot. We start on the heights of the Negev Plateau and hike down the most picturesque mountain paths in the area. Carrying in our packs only what is necessary for the day's trek. By evening we are met by our jeeps that take us back to Eilat, or for a fuller desert experience, we set up camp in the Arabian skies. These tours are designed and recommended for people who love hiking in nature. The tours include all meals, 4x4 jeeps for the off-road transfers and an experienced desert guide.
Day 1- Pick-up from Eilat hotels and driving up into the higher Nature reserve area. We start the hiking tour on the summit of Mt. Yehoahaz - 900 m' above the sea level. We hike down the mountain paths in the direction of the The Great Rift Valley whose dramatic views are ahead of us throughout the tour. At the foot of the Eilat mts reserve we reach 'The lost Valley'- a canyon of red sandstone rock, (difficult to locate- hence the name), from there we ascend Mt. Shehoret and go down through the Shehoret Canyon (Eng= 'Black Canyon') that takes us into the Arava Valley where we are met by our drivers and jeeps.
Day 2- Driving through the Arava to the Amram pillars. Here we begin our day by ascending Mt. Amir. We pass the ancient copper mines on its summit and follow a narrow route that takes us under the Negev cliffs to the Hidden Valley, a colored sand stone canyon and difficult to find for those unfamiliar with the terrain. A more challenging hike but one of the most rewarding treks in the Eilat Mts.
