For years our 'Red Canyon Tours' have been a massive favorite among visitors to Eilat and our morning four hour Jeep trips to the Red Canyon and Eilat Mountain Nature Reserve continue to be among the most popular.  The tour departs after breakfast from Eilat hotels and heads deep into the desert along the most scenic off-road trails. The off-road desert adventure begins in Soloman's Valley and follows the ancient Mecca pilgrim trail as it heads up to the heights of the Eilat mountains. The stunning scenery from the summits of the Eilat Mountains span the Arava Valley across to Jordan, The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia and the Sinai Desert in Egypt. Throughout the tour we look for local wildlife and visit the famous spring of Netafim where with a little luck we get a glimpse of the Ibex (mountain goats) and Hyrax (rock bunnies) that are often found here.  The Red Canyon is just a short drive away nestled in the heights of the Eilat mountain's nature reserve.  As we reach the Red Canyon we leave our jeeps and enjoy a  walk into the picturesque desert valley that leads to the Red Canyon itself.  A fun little hike takes us through the Red Canyon using the various fixtures and fittings placed into the natural rock to help us along our way. Following our tour of the Red Canyon we head back to our jeeps and begin the drive back towards Eilat returning to the hotels by lunchtime. The Red Canyon has always been one of Eilat's most famous attractions and is considered a must for all visitors to the area. This unforgettable tour takes in the very best of the Red Canyon along the most dramatic off road routes while covering the fascinating history and stunning nature of the area.

The Red Canyon tour is in open topped Land Rover jeeps and covers panoramic mountain summits so warm clothes are advised especially during the winter months. The tour is suitable for most visitors but not for children under the age of four or people with walking difficulties and/or issues effecting their movement or balance.

By bus and Jeep the participants get to experience the natural highlights of the Eilat mountains and the Southern Negev while visiting one of the most famous natural attractions in the area.  For particularly large groups the participants are divided into two with one half boarding busses and heading straight towards the Red Canyon where they begin their desert adventure enjoying a delightful walk through the stunning Red Canyon itself and taking in the serene desert scenery. Meanwhile the other half of the group boards open topped jeeps (covered jeeps upon request) and head off for an exciting jeep tour that follows the most picturesque off road routes in the area and heads into the depths of the southern Negev desert.  The Jeeps work their way up to the Red Canyon along the ancient Pilgrim route, stopping at the famous Netafim spring and passing the highest summits in the area. The panoramic views take in the mountains of Jordan, the bay of Eilat, the coast of Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian Sinai Desert and the stunning Arava Valley. Reaching the Red Canyon they meet up with the other participants who have just finished their walk, here they end their jeep tour and begin their own walking tour, while the other half of the group board the jeeps and make their way towards Eilat on the same fascinating off road route that was followed earlier. All of the participants both on  the jeeps and the busses arrive back at the hotels of Eilat at the same time and all have shared the same amazing desert experience no matter which group they happened to be in. This is an extremely popular and practical tour activity for large groups in Eilat and it continues to be a firm favorite with both organizers and participants alike.
