The tour begins with the one-day guided tour from Eilat. Once the guided portion concludes in Petra, you continue independently, with time to explore major sites not covered by the tour guide—such as the Monastery and the High Place of Sacrifice. You can also enjoy Petra during the beautiful sunset hours, when most visitors have already left.
We book you into a comfortable 3-star hotel near Petra or a Bedouin camp, according to your preference. The following morning, our tour staff picks you up from your accommodation and brings you back to Eilat.

Climbing to the Monastery (for all overnight tours):
Our guide accompanies the group for approximately four hours, providing in-depth information and covering the main highlights of Petra. Before leaving, the guide joins the group for lunch at a restaurant near the trailhead to the Monastery.
The climb to the Monastery is done independently after lunch, and our vehicle will meet you at Petra’s main exit afterward. If desired, a local guide can be arranged for the Monastery hike at an additional cost of $60. However, as the path is straightforward, most visitors choose to walk it on their own.

1.5 day to Petra with Wadi Rum option
This tour is similar to the previous 1.5 day tour but includes a drive into the famous Wadi Rum area on a local Bedouin jeep tour.

Instead of heading straight back to Eilat after visiting Petra we spend a couple of hours taking in the spectacular Wadi Rum desert scenery in 4X4 jeeps. Driven by professional Bedouin drivers we visit The Seven Pillars, Lawrence’s spring and the Haz Ali Canyon . It was in this area that T E Lawrence lead the Arab Revolt and the epic movie that followed ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ was filmed here. The area boasts Jordan’s most impressive desert scenery which became quite renowned following the success of the film and it is now a UNESCO protected area. Following the tour a one hour drive takes us back to the border and Eilat.

Two Day private tour to Petra form Eilat Israel
Optional Add-ons: The Monastery and the High Place of Sacrifice

This private two-day tour focuses entirely on exploring Petra in depth. It’s perfect for independent travelers who want to experience Petra beyond the highlights — at their own pace and at a great value.

The tour can start from Eilat (Israel), Aqaba (Jordan), or even Jerusalem/Tel Aviv.

Day 1 – Guided Tour + Free Time in Petra
We begin at 7:00 AM with a 2-hour drive from Eilat to Petra. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a 4-hour guided tour covering Petra’s most famous sites.
After the guided portion, we’ll have lunch at a restaurant inside Petra, and then you’ll have the rest of the day to explore freely — including optional hikes to the Monastery- 2 hours climb which is a must!
In the evening, we’ll transfer you to your hotel or Bedouin-style camp in nearby Wadi Musa for an overnight stay.

Day 2 – Following the guide’s instructions from the previous day, you’ll re-enter Petra to explore the High Place of Sacrifice or venture into some of the lesser-known, hidden corners of the ancient city. In the afternoon, return to Eilat with unforgettable memories of this remarkable site.

Optional Adventure Add-On: Full day jeep and hike to  Aaron’s Tomb

This extended version of the tour includes two full days of exploration, with some of the most spectacular trails Petra has to offer.

Day 1 – As above (Guided Tour + Free Time)
Instead of returning to Eilat with the rest of the group, you’ll continue exploring Petra independently, with the option of hiking up to the High Place of Sacrifice. A Bedouin scout can accompany you for an additional $80 (optional). After your hike, return to our office and we’ll drive you to your overnight accommodation.

Day 2 – Little Petra, the Monastery, and Aaron’s Tomb
Start the day with a short visit to Little Petra, then embark on a stunning off-the-beaten-path mountain trail that leads to the Monastery via a rarely used but beautiful route. From the Monastery, descend back into Petra, where a Bedouin 4×4 pickup will be waiting.
The jeep takes you off-road toward Mount Aaron. From the trailhead, you’ll hike about 30 minutes to the summit, where Aaron’s Tomb awaits — along with breathtaking panoramic views.
After descending, we head back to Petra’s entrance for your return journey to Eilat.

On this day, you can choose to take both the back route into Petra and the jeep ride to Aaron’s Tomb, or opt for just one of these experiences.

First Day –
Departing Eilat early morning we cross into Jordan and head straight to the ancient city of Petra. The tour takes in the highlights of Petra beginning with the Treasury and the Siq Canyon, it heads right through the main center of Petra taking in all the major sights along the way with our specialist guide. After lunch at a restaurant inside Petra you enjoy some free-time. You may choose to take an optional hike up to ‘The Monastery’ on Jebel A-Deir, or visit the High Place of Sacrifice, but prior notice is required for these options. Following the tour and when you have finished enjoying your extra time at the site a short walk from Petra takes you to our offices near the entrance, from here we drive you to your hotel, or to a Bedouin camp in the desert. Several types of accommodation options are available.

Day 2 –
This day covers the highlights of Wadi Rum. Having arrived at the village of Rum inside the Wadi Rum nature reserve, we board 4X4 jeeps, driven by professional Bedouin drivers and journey into the spectacular sandstone area of Wadi Rum. Here we go off-road into its unique landscape and get right off the beaten track to explore rarely travelled ancient merchant routes.

The enchanting Wadi Rum is an area almost surreal in its distinctive beauty. We cross red sand dunes and explore the beautifully eroded pillars of sandstone rock. It was this area of Wadi Rum that so inspired T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) while he was based here during the first world war. Wadi Rums beauty remains intact and its breathtaking scenery is still an inspiration for those who travel there. Lunch is enjoyed en route in the great outdoors. The tour includes the Seven Pillars, Khaz Ali canyon and Jabel Um Asharin. Returning by evening to Eilat.

We encourage visitors to Petra to spend an additional night in Aqaba before their tour. Apart from the $60 savings at Petra, people staying two nights also get the $60 visa for free. On top of that hotels in Aqaba are cheaper than those in Eilat and the later morning pickup times mean guests get to enjoy breakfast in their hotel before the tour begins.

People who choose to spend a night in Aqaba before their tour will receive transportation right to their hotel, including help crossing the border.
We offer a wide selection of hotels just minutes away from Eilat in the town of Aqaba on the Red Sea. Visitors who choose to stay in Aqaba benefit from lower room rates than those staying in Eilat in addition to the advantages mentioned. Golf carts inside Petra

You may choose to book a Golf cart in Petra for the Siq canyon either on site or through us which is preferable. The Gulf cart can be booked for either one or both directions. We advise people considering a Golf cart if needed to book for the return journey only as there are several interesting sights during the initial walk in and since it’s at the beginning of the tour, you probably won’t feel you require one at this stage.
